Intro
Chang Xian M982 is made up of special resins and water-resistant additives. It cures when exposed to moisture in the air and is accelerated by slight heating, creating a solid, dry surface. M982 is environmentally friendly and does not contain harmful substances such as benzene and is suitable for painting, dipping and spraying.
General features
M982 is made up of special resins and waterproofing additives. It cures when exposed to moisture in the air and a slight heating speeds up the curing process, resulting in a solid, dry surface. It is suitable for the protection of all kinds of electronic and electrical components.
M982 is environmentally friendly as it does not contain harmful substances such as benzene.
M982 is suitable for a variety of processes including brushing, dipping and spraying.
M982 can be cured at room temperature or accelerated by heating, making it very easy to handle.

guidelines
- M982 can be applied by dipping, brushing or spraying process.
- Board cleaning: It is recommended that the board is cleaned after assembly to remove dust, oil and post-solder residue, which effectively improves adhesion and prevents corrosion of components and solder joints.
- M982 can be used as is, but in the process of use (especially in open containers), the solvent component will evaporate, resulting in an increase in specific gravity and viscosity, which is not easy to operate, and the film formation is not uniform, but will affect the effect of moisture and electrical properties, so it should be regularly replenished with X-92 thinner. If painting or dipping is used, it is recommended to apply a small amount several times. In order to avoid absorbing the moisture in the air and gel caking, which will affect the use.
- M982 moisture barrier must be used with X-92 thinner, which is a special thinner and cannot be mixed with its thinner, otherwise precipitation, delamination or self-polymerisation may occur.
- M982 absorbs moisture in the air for curing, so it is best to pour it out of the open container and keep it sealed when not in use for a long period of time to avoid rapid evaporation or absorption of moisture in the air causing coagulation or whitening. Do not pour the product back into the original drum as this may bring in moisture and affect the stability of the product.
- For the painting or dipping process, when encountering rainy weather and high air humidity, the product may appear whitish during use due to the absorption of moisture in the air, but after baking, the whitish phenomenon will disappear completely and will not affect the product performance.
- Single layer film thickness of 1-5 mil during application, surface drying at room temperature for about 30 minutes, in order to obtain excellent chemical resistance and electrical properties, at least 24 hours drying.
- M982 can be used as a post remedial procedure in case of poor solder residues on circuit boards. When using poor rosin-free or low solids fluxes, the board may exhibit some undesirable phenomena, which can be remedied with M982 when the following phenomena occur. These are as follows
M982 will absorb the residue and turn it into a film, forming a thin, transparent film on the surface.
b: When the resistance of the post-solder circuit board residue is too low and leakage occurs, the previous remedy was to clean it (but some fluxes are difficult to clean and tend to show white residue).
The use of this function must be low rosin content, if the residue is too high, it should be cleaned first.
